Raul Diaz

Head of E Sports

Hello, my name is Raul. I have my Masters in Sports Analytics, my D level coaching license, and my Futsal license. I have been coaching with reputable clubs in the Chicagoland area for the past 10 years. During my time as a first generation Mexican player, I noticed that there was a lack of resources on how to further your education as college athlete. As a coach, I would like to be a resource and provide guidance to players who are in a similar situation as I was. I came across Chicago City while I was searching for a summer internship that was required for my last semester of school. I had always wanted experience working on the professional side and though City would be a great opportunity.

I was hired on as an assistant coach intern for the summer of 2022. During my time working with the other coaches and players, I fell in love with the culture of the club. All of the members had high ambitions, were hard working, and everyone made me feel welcomed. I knew I wanted to continue my career with Chicago City due to its positive culture and atmosphere.I  am looking forward to teaching and developing the next generation of soccer players in the Chicagoland area
