Edgar Camberos
My name is Edgar Camberos and I'm the head coach of the 2015 Boys teams, I'm originally from Bolivia. I grew up in La Paz where I played soccer since I was 5, I continued to play in High School and in a professional team called Mariscal Braun until I finished school at 18.
I was a good player but not really exceptional to try the professional pathway, that is why I decided to continue my studies and I obtained a scholarship from Universidad Privada Boliviana where I studied electromechanical engineering. When in school, I played for the University until I finished my grade.
In 2010, I moved to Switzerland to study, after playing for several years for different teams from 2nd division to 5th division. I started my pathway as a coach in 2017 in a club called Lausanne Academy Nord where I did my UEFA C License.
I started my journey with Chicago city exactly 2 years ago when I contacted Nick Mulvaney looking for an opportunity to coach soccer as soon as I arrived in Chicago, after a short discussion, he invited me to coach a minicity practice and since that day I haven't stopped working with City. From the beginning, I shared values and principles with the club like I was part of it for years, I really appreciate the trust of the club and I want to help our next-generation soccer players to reach their maximum potential inside and outside the pitch.
My family is the most important in my life and I am really lucky to have them supporting me from the beginning of my coaching career. My Bolivia's favorite team is The Strongest FC, I really love spicy food and I always want to try new things, I can speak Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English and I understand Italian.
I love to play video games of all types, I'm very competitive in Fighting and soccer games.
