Chicago City SC launched its official College Pathway Program in the Fall of 2021 as we continue to enhance the support for our players looking to play collegiately. The CPP is led by College liaison Tom Paparounis who is vastly experienced with all levels of college soccer. Tom has been involved within the local collegiate scene with Loyola, Roosevelt, and now IIT Men's and Women's.

CPP Overview -

1. ADVISORY

Provides our high school players and their families with critical resources to help understand and navigate the college recruiting process.

Player Workshops Including: 

• College Academic Eligibility 
• Researching Schools and Building An Online Profile 
• Communicating with College Coaches
• Filming for College Recruiting 

Individual Player Meetings:

• Establish player goals alongside their team coach.
• Review of academic profile
• Review of player’s online profile

2. ACCESS TO COLLEGE COACHES THROUGH

• Team Showcases / Friendlies
• Individual Player ID Events
• College Coach Discussion Panels
• Chicago City’s Network of College Coaches

3. ACADEMIC GUIDANCE - PARTNERSHIP WITH

Chicago City SC utilizes Honest Game’s technology to aid our players academically. Every student-athlete and their family that is registered for our College Pathway Program have an HONEST GAME account. 

Honest Game:

• Empowers student-athletes and their families with the expertise and confidence needed to navigate NCAA and NAIA academic eligibility.
• Provides real-time academic status updates 
• Harnesses a player’s passion for sports to fuel their motivation for learning. 

Each student-athlete will receive an online individualized College Athletic Report on Eligibility (CARE®), which transforms their transcripts into a personal plan, including strategic individualized guidance and short-term goals to achieve and maintain academic eligibility.
